Own + Salesforce

In September 2024, Salesforce completed its $1.9 billion acquisition of Own Company (formerly OwnBackup), marking a strategic step toward strengthening its data protection and management capabilities. The move reflects Salesforce’s commitment to addressing rising customer concerns around data security, regulatory compliance, and the growing complexity of modern data environments.

Role and Responsibilties

Following Salesforce’s $1.9B acquisition of Own Company in September 2024, I led the web redesign initiative to support the integration. This involved updating 10 key Salesforce webpages to align with the brand’s expanded data protection and management offerings. My contributions included:

  • Revamping marquee sections to reflect joint branding and messaging

  • Implementing new background imagery aligned with Salesforce’s visual identity and Own’s product story

  • Showcasing updated product UI to highlight new features and ensure visual consistency

  • Creating Own and Platform Design System and Branding

This redesign was instrumental in communicating our enhanced focus on data resilience, compliance, and security to customers.
